Garbage pick-up starts at 6:00 a.m. on your assigned days.
North Zone: Monday and Thursday
South Zone: Tuesday and Friday.

Washers, dryers, and other miscellaneous metal should be placed curbside for pick-up during the 4th week of each month.
Furniture that you can sit on, sleep on, or eat on should be placed curbside for your second garbage day pick-up of the week.
No bulk item pick-up on the following holidays:
July 4th, Election Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Recycling will be picked up curbside on Wednesdays for all streets in the Borough.
Bottles and cans will be picked up on the first, third, and fifth (when applicable) Wednesday of each month.
Mixed paper, newspapers, small amounts of cardboard & chipboard will be picked up on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
Hours of Recycling Drop-off Center at the Public Works building:
Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 P.M.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Sunday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Leaf pick-up is scheduled from March 15, 2015 to May 10, 2015 and again from October 15, 2015 to December 10, 2015 only! Leaves will not be picked up if any
type of brush is mixed in with it.
(Ex. tree limbs, plants, branches, sticks, etc.)
Brush pick-up is scheduled from December 15, 2014 to March 10, 2015 and again from May 15, 2015 to October 10, 2015 only!
If leaves and brush are placed curbside outside of the scheduled pick-up dates, these items will not be picked up, and a Notice of Violation will be issued by the Code Enforcement Officer.
If residents have a private contractor or landscaper perform services, such as brush, tree, or shrub removal, it is the responsibility of the contractor/landscaper to remove all items from your property. The Borough will not pick up these items, and you will receive a summons from Code Enforcement for the violation.
Also note that all contractors and landscapers MUST be registered with the Borough Clerk's Office prior to performing services within the Borough.
The items listed below CAN NOT be placed curbside for pick-up by the Borough at any time. Notice of Violation from the Code Enforcement Officer will be issued for improper disposal of these items:
Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, fluorescent bulbs, CFL bulbs, auto batteries, demolition materials, old and new lumber including 2 x 4's, 2 x 6's, etc., plywood, wood fences, sheet-rock, windows, doors, tile, concrete, bricks, roofing or siding materials, asphalt, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, oil-based paints, televisions larger than 42", and console televisions will not be picked up by the Borough.

The Borough will not pick up grass or thatch clippings. "Cut it, and leave it." DO NOT mix in with garbage or with brush or leaves. DO NOT put grass clippings or thatch in the street or storm drains.
