BOOKKEEPER/FINANCE CLERK – FULL-TIME: The Bookkeeper/Finance Clerk will be responsible for but not limited to: all payroll functions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchase orders, purchasing, and reporting. Extensive knowledge of: Edmunds G/L, budget entries, and reporting, calculating overtime, payroll deductions, bi-monthly payroll, processing retros, monthly and quarterly pension deductions/payments/reports, bi-monthly bill list, and other finance functions as assigned. This position reports to the Administrator and CFO and will work closely with administration and other personnel. Qualified candidate must demonstrate thorough knowledge of all applicable rules and protocols relating to municipal accounting and possess great communication and organizational skills. LABORER-DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS-FULL-TIME: Responsibilities include but are not limited to manual work in the maintenance of borough streets, roadways, parks, public buildings, and public places, handling heavy materials on construction, maintenance and repair projects, raking leaves from public streets and parks, sweeping materials to predetermined grade for street surface repairs, shoveling snow and removing ice and snow from pavement, assisting in spreading sand and chemicals for control of ice and snow conditions, recycling and solid waste collection and performing all related work as required. Job Qualifications: ability to read and write English, ability to follow direction, both oral and written, ability to lift heavy objects continuously under varying weather conditions, a valid New Jersey Driver’s License, ability to drive a truck, possession of a valid State of New Jersey Commercial Driver’s License and willingness to abide by the Borough’s CDL Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.
