Property Tax Relief Programs

DEDUCTIONS:  Senior Citizens (65 years of age or older) and totally disabled persons are entitled to a deduction of $250.00 from their property taxes if their income does not exceed $10,000.00 annually, excluding Social Security, and they meet certain qualifications.

 REMINDER: If you are receiving a Senior Citizen or disabled individual property tax deduction, post annual tax statements will be mailed to you. The completed statements must be returned by March 1st, or you will lose the deduction.

Deductions for Veterans, & Surviving Spouses are available for those who qualify.

Property Tax Relief Programs:  There are three separate property tax relief programs which are handled on the State level. Please contact the numbers below for more information on these programs:

Property Tax Reimbursement Program (also called Senior Freeze): 800-882-6597.  The State will mail forms to those who qualify.

Homestead Property Tax Rebate Program: replaced by ANCHOR Program : The State will mail these forms.  Call 877-658-2972 for further details.
