Councilman Sniffen became a member of the West Long Branch Council in March of 2020. A long-time community supporter and volunteer involved with the borough as well as the West Long Branch Sports Association, Matt is also a volunteer firefighter.

As chair of the Public Buildings committee, Councilman Sniffen brings years of professional experience and knowledge from his local contracting business. In the past he has served a member of the Recreation commission. As councilman, he is also a member of the Public Works Committee and the Community Center Liaison Committee.

Matt and his wife of 25 years, Carrie, have two daughters, Taylor and Kelly. Matt and his family live on Norwood Avenue.
